Things to think about
Make sure your baby is well rested, and well fed. Meghan will work with you to determine the best time of day for your child.
If your child is ill please let me know and I will do everything I can to reschedule your photo-shoot quickly.
If you're running five minutes late, your little one doesn't want to smile on command, or if your baby won't stop crying... take a deep breath and relax. We do not need perfection in order to get perfect photos!
What to wear
A simple, classic look allows the focus to stay on your child creating a timeless portrait. Clothing in solid neutral colors photograph best. As a mother of two Meghan became aware of how difficult and expensive it was to find classic clothing. Because of this she started collecting classic outfits for clients to choose from. Meghan would be more than happy to bring outfits with if you discuss them prior to the session.
While character clothing with busy pattern or logo is cute for playtime, it often distracts from the child in the portrait. When in doubt, feel free to have several outfits on hand, Meghan will help you choose which will photograph the best.
If you are being photographed with your baby, avoid wearing watches and jewelry should be minimal. When photographing more than one person, clothing similar in style gives more of a coordinated look. Please consider their outfits as a whole, including hosiery and shoes, and keep colors uniform. Bare feet are especially fun and babies love it too.
